Bud Ross has served the Central congregation since 1971. In his words, "I love being a part of the Central church family. This is a wonderful, loving family who do more than call each other "brother" or "sister". They treat each other as brothers and sisters. This is a family that "rejoices with those who rejoice and weeps with those who weep." It is commonplace for me to go to minister to a member of this church family only to find that others have been there ahead of me. Central is a church that cares about people.
Bud and his wife Judy have two sons, Jody and Toby. Jody is a Human Resources Manager in Houston, Texas. Toby is Campus Minister for Central.
Bud did his undergraduate work at Oklahoma Christian University and his graduate work at Abilene Christian University. In addition to his preaching, administrative, and counseling responsibilities Bud is extremely active in the Ada community, serving on numerous boards of helping organizations and providing chaplain services to the local police department and the local psychiatric hospital.

Ed Poblete
Missions and Outreach
Since called to serve for Central in 1979, Ed has served as Youth Minister (79'-83'), Missionary to the Philippines (83'-00'), and presently serves in the Outreach Ministries. He also volunteers as a Hospital Chaplain for Valley View Hospital.
Next to God's love, Ed is energized by the love of his family! His wife; Sherry, and children; Daniel and Michelle, are a constant source of encouragement and inspiration. Sherry, works as a Registered Nurse at Carl Albert Health Systems.
While serving in the Philippines, the Poblete's took part in missionary team efforts in the cities of Cebu, Baguio, and Antipolo. Having survived killer earthquakes, volcano eruptions, and typhoons they saw how God's power could turn natural disasters into spiritual blessings. One blessing was the establishment of M.A.R.C.H. for Christ; a medical-evangelism team that conducts free Clinics and church planting through out the Philippine Islands. This ministry tool has produced churches on the islands of Bohol, Samar, Aklan, Negros, and Luzon. Ed continues to make annual trips to the Philippines to keep his heart close to missions.
The Poblete's returned from the Philippine Islands in 2000 not knowing what to do or where to work. The Central Eldership graciously allowed Ed to work and find a place within the church family. Soon, ministries such as the Turkey Hotline, and the new Compassion Outreach Center would provide a natural transition from foreign missions to local work. It is amazing how God uses one's past to prepare them for future ministries.
". . . serve one another in love." Gal. 5:13 |

Children's Minister
My name is Felicia Whitworth and this is my husband Barry. I have been privileged to serve as Children's Minister at Central since the Fall of 2001.
I was born and raised in Ada; Barry is from Broken Arrow. I met Barry at Oklahoma Christian University and we were married in the Spring of 1986. Barry graduated from OCC and went on to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University. I completed my bachelor's degree at OSU from the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Over the years, we have been blessed with three children: Lauren, Madison, and Walker. In 1993 we were also blessed with the opportunity to move back to Ada. I wa excited that I would get to worship with the Central family again because this was the body of people that helped introduce me to Christ. I am still excited to worship at Central because they are still committed to sharing their faith and helping each other grow. Nowhere can this commitment be more clearly seen than with our children. Our goal is to help them love the Lord with all of their heart, soul, and mind. May we all make that our goal as we strive to bring honor and glory to our King.

Youth Minister
My name is Blake Earnhart, my lovely wife Karla and I have just recently graduated from Abilene Christian University, moved to Ada and have become a part of this wonderful church home.
I grew up in St. Louis Missouri where my passion for youth ministry was born and encouraged by my former youth minister Steve Awtrey.
I love kids and believe God has given me a heart for understanding them. My dream is for your children to fall in love with Christ and imitate him. No matter where they go, or where life leads them we pray that your kids will always keep God the number one priority in their life.
May God Bless your life and may you bless others with what you have been given!
